Find Batteries for all your electronics.

As I have been looking around for a good place to buy a battery for my cell phone, I encountered quite a few places, previously unheard of. The regular big guys (Amazon, Buy.com, ebay etc) have them for so much higher price that I had to go for other options.

And every now and then when someone asks me where to buy something for their camera or laptop, I keep forgetting what that 'good' place was where I bought mine. So, digging into my old orders and favorites, I am listing down those good places. Even if you don't get the best deal here, you would definitely find the model of what you are looking for and would be the launch pad for your search. So here are a few online stores, with good reviews, that I would suggest before you start searching again elsewhere.

Coin Cell batteries: (CR2016 CR2032 etc)

Are you here to search for a place to buy those Lithium button cells (also called coin cells and coil cells)? They are actually CMOS cells and typically you would need a CR2016 or CR2032 for car key remotes, handheld gaming devices etc. You can buy these at your local radioshack or bestbuy spending may be around $5. In case you need more than one or in bulk, go online. Most probably, you will find that shipping is way more than the actual price of these cells. So, head over to dealextreme.com to get these for a very cheap price with Free Shipping.

Rechargeable Batteries and Battery Chargers:

There is no single place on the internet jungle, that gives you tips on how to buy a battery charger and Ni-MH batteries. So, based on my experience here are my findings. If you are looking for rechargeable batteries or battery chargers for use in the US alone, go for the Energizer Brand. If you want the best, get a La Crosse charger or a Maha Powerex as they are more comprehensive than any other.

And always go for the highest mAh you can afford but not the fastest chargers. The highest mAh will stay much much longer> Purchase the ones that state that they last 4x or 8x times other brands. The cheaper options, again for US, are the Rayovac followed by the Duracell or Durabrand. The LaCrosse,Maha Powerex,Energizer and Sony are the options for a slightly higher price.

Rechargeable Batteries:

It is very rare to find the 2500 mAh energizer batteries for less than $10. So, in case you find them somewhere just grab them. Also, keep checking this Amazon link and you might find it here for a good price Energizer@Amazon.

Battery Chargers:

A regular battery charger typically takes around 8 to 14 hours to full recharge the batteries. These are the ones that are usually priced under $20. Then there are 15 minute and 30 minute power chargers, which range from $29.99 to more than $60.00. These 15-min or 30-min are good for people who use their batteries extensively. Energizer is again the brand to go for. (Link: Energizer.com Rechargeables  )
