This is the best option when you do not want to keep picking and selecting the songs to listen and just want to keep the music flowing. A lot of radio stations from India now stream their radio over the internet and we all have searched all over the internet and have our own set of collection. And as you know, no streaming link is reliable for long. So, I am trying to make that set of yours/mine work by listing them up here and keeping these up to date.

Because, all of us are not so good to remember the songs we heard 10-15 years ago, just because our human RAM is not the DDR2 type. So, most of the times, 'radio' extracts it out and reminds us. And then, our typical bhaviour is to go hunting to download it somewhere. In the event of which, you would land into some of the sites in the Desi Music section anyway. But the point is that, radio has its own place in today's video (you tube) oriented world.
The first set of links given below broadcast devotional music and some of them do so, only in the early mornings. When prompted, add them to your Winamp/Windows Media Player/Real Player and you are all set. These are direct links either to the station or to the website so that you don't have to deal with all of the irritably annoying "you have won an iPod Nano" messages.
And given below are a few links to websites which direct you to all different radio stations in different languages. Instead of duplicating these in each and every language, I am listing them as part of a separate set. So, you might want to check these too, if your favorite station doesn't show up in the language specific section. In case there is a direct link to a radio in the regional language on these websites, I will then include it in the language specific list.
Also, there are quite a few radio stations to listen to Hindi songs online and are not specific to any city like Delhi FM or Bombay FM. So, enjoy all of these radios in Hindi. And, as this page is as good as the links, please contribute to keep these up to date with your feedback. I intend to keep only working links and so, if something doesn't work, it would mean I had never known that it doesn't :).

Kannada Radio. I should say something about this as it wasn't easy to find radio stations broadcasted in Kannada. Yes, It is quite alarming specially with Bangalore being treated as the 'IT Hub' and all. Here are the rare-to-find "working" links for listening to radio online in Kannada.

Stream player Use the player below the way you would operate an antique radio.."Press the Knobs". Each Knob is pre-tuned to a station and you can change it using the Settings option..There is no "Power Off" knob but you can mute it when you need to turn it off. To change the stations configured for each button, click on SETTINGS. It shows you the current selection of the five different radio stations selected. Click on CHANGE STATIONS and you will be taken to the page where you can select your own stations. Select "India" in the Filter By Country dropdown and click on the numbers (1,2,3,4 or 5) against the station to add it to your gadget. You can try some of the radio stations added by me on labpixies under 'International' genre. Your selection will then be displayed on the page at the top. Alt+Tab to 'this radio page' where you have the gadget, check 'Remember Play mode on refresh' click on SAVE. You now have your personal radio available with the buttons configured.
PS: The configured stations stay intact ONLY UNTIL the cookies are cleared. So, the settings might go back to default when the history gets cleared in which case, you might have to reconfigure the station presets again. Stick to either Internet Explorer or Firefox for setting this up as Opera seems to have some problems with the cookie settings. Desktop Application for Streaming Radios. Screamer Radio is a very good freeware for playing Internet radio from your desktop.
