Websites that specialize in finding the best and cheapest air tickets.

The following websites are the best to grab the best available fare if you are planning to head out on a trip, be it a business related or not.It doesn't hurt if you can save a little money by spending five minutes checking a website listed here. You can get tickets for dirt-cheap prices sometimes by checking out the 'Last Minute Deals' on these websites.

I agree there are too many websites listed here. And for one reason, it is nice to have all of these hand picked websites here, so that you don't try to come up with the same list again, after hours of searching. So, if you don't have time to do research, just check out the first website listed in each group. The websites are listed by the best in the order of Z, which means horizontally from left to right.

More importantly, if you would like to read tips on how to avoid delays, here is a nice article which clearly lists out all the factors to consider: Delayed & Confused

The above places will give you the best deal for you but still sometimes the original airlines itself would give you the cheapest price without any extra service charge. And moreover you might get the schedule that is suitable to you. So, do check the following websites for good deals when you have almost decided to buy a ticket. So it works like this. You take a website (that you prefer) in the above list, check the itinerary and say if you are taking the ATA flight, just check the price on their website. If the cost is the same, you can as well go with ATA.com itself and avoid the service charge.

Basically the below links are not necessary since you can find them through any search engine instantly. But just to give you an idea of how many operators are there, and if an airline operates in your area from the below list, may be you forgot to check it. So here is the list.

Travel to India:

Travelling to India is on the list for many people, even if we are not considering Indians. And for Indians, it is almost a routine, as it should be. There is no website that would match with the price that a travel agent would provide and so it is always advisable to book your tickets to India through one but also have a look at the ticket prices through the websites on this page, to check if you are being offered a good deal.

I will post the addresses of the travel agencies/links to agencies that would deal with issuing tickets down the line but let's have a look at the websites that offer such a service. Again, these would be the places where either myself/a person close to me has used their services recommended them. ALWAYS call the customer service when you are dealing with the websites below. This Customer Service is definitely a lot better to give you the best price and when you are talking to them, also check the airline's website for the airline he/she is offering a ticket to. That way, you would be sure that you are getting the lowest best price.
